Bear on a charter last week pulled off a series of cool days on a multiple boat charter with some great people! Permit, snapper, bonita and blackfin tuna were the outcome in one day. Gotta love it when it all comes together to make magic!

January is here and so is the best fishing the Florida Keys has to offer! Key West is well known for its tarpon, bonefish and permit fishing in the spring and summer months. I want to make sure everyone is aware that the best time to fish is the winter and spring. The winter and spring Florida Keys and Key West fishery is paradise at it's best. Sure the occasional cold front is something to deal with but in between them its awesome.
How often can you catch a permit and a blackfin tuna in the same day on the same charter...???? We are fortunate to be able to live and guide in paradise. Winter in our waters is when the most diversity is here. When we can we make it past the reef to fish the nearshore waters for cobia, wahoo, tuna, bonita, kings, and several others....we do... if the wind gets up we venture to the backcountry chasing speckled trout, jacks, snapper and grouper along with a host of others that pull hard such as lemon, blacktip, bull sharks and tarpon temperature permitting. Bonus: sailfish have been around in good numbers! Book your trip today or get in the car and call on the way... we got ya! Capt. Travis Holeman 3059060301 Our annual fall trip to Louisiana was a blast. If you ever wanted to truly know what its like to have an epic day! Venice, La is the place. Redfish, trout, cobia, triple tail, tuna, wahoo, snapper and more! The combined inshore and offshore fishery is as good as it gets (aside from paradise of course!)
Key West Angling is in Louisiana from Sept - Dec each fall to take advantage of the redfish pre-spawn and post spawn. Its one of the last fisheries in America you can be by yourself all day! If your interested in fishing La and your plans don't line up with us we will be more than happy to point you at our friends who we look forward to spending time with every year! Louisiana has one of the tightest guide communities in the country and our years on tour allowed made for life long friendships with the best in the area! Booking now for 2016! ![]() As spring moves over the country the tarpon and sailfish move with it. Tarpon are flooding the Florida Keys backcountry and channels. Fly, artificial and live bait have all been generating bites and new profile pics. Bait is still very available and easy pickings for the skilled castnetter! #6 sibiki also are getting pilchards under chum! Best part is both tarpon and sailfish eat several of the same baits. Sailfish are making the annual trip past Key West and are biting very well as we move past the full moon! Drifting, kites and trolling are all productive! My personal fav running them down and sight fishing is about to be in full swing! Most fun you can have no matter your experience level! April is high up on my list of favorite months! Catch em UP!
