Bear on a charter last week pulled off a series of cool days on a multiple boat charter with some great people! Permit, snapper, bonita and blackfin tuna were the outcome in one day. Gotta love it when it all comes together to make magic!
The fishing is awesome right now! photo credit Bear Holeman January is here and so is the best fishing the Florida Keys has to offer! Key West is well known for its tarpon, bonefish and permit fishing in the spring and summer months. I want to make sure everyone is aware that the best time to fish is the winter and spring. The winter and spring Florida Keys and Key West fishery is paradise at it's best. Sure the occasional cold front is something to deal with but in between them its awesome.
How often can you catch a permit and a blackfin tuna in the same day on the same charter...???? We are fortunate to be able to live and guide in paradise. Winter in our waters is when the most diversity is here. When we can we make it past the reef to fish the nearshore waters for cobia, wahoo, tuna, bonita, kings, and several others....we do... if the wind gets up we venture to the backcountry chasing speckled trout, jacks, snapper and grouper along with a host of others that pull hard such as lemon, blacktip, bull sharks and tarpon temperature permitting. Bonus: sailfish have been around in good numbers! Book your trip today or get in the car and call on the way... we got ya! Capt. Travis Holeman 3059060301 |
